Hello spacefriends and welcome to the latest Community Beat! Let’s take a look at what cool things have surfaced in the EVE Online community recently which caught our eye…
Peak EVE
EVE players have taken their passion for the game to the four corners of the globe. We’ve seen that historically with the Pandemic Legion flag showing up at the south pole.
Most recently Siberian Squads have conquered Mount Elbrus, the highest mountain in Russia and Europe and one of the Seven Summits globally.
What compels people to undertake such feats? Probably the same thing that compels people to have 30 PI alts, although we suspect climbing a mountain is slightly more challenging.
Either way this is a great accomplishment and we think it’s awesome that SibSquad’s EVE Online alliance was foremost on their minds when undertaking this feat by carrying their flag all the way to the summit!
Musical Turrets
People are always finding interesting ways to interact with the EVE Online client. Sometimes we wish they didn’t. But this isn’t one of those times! EVE Online enthusiast Beautiful_Minute_294 posted this video on the EVE subreddit showing one of the more innovative ways that you can use the EVE client and third party tools to create something new and entertaining!
Lego Stratios
Go look at this incredible Lego Stratios build by Indrasil over on Rebrickable. Consisting of over 4,700 pieces the accuracy and amount of detail is off the charts! If you’re feeling ambitious you can buy the build instructions and make it yourself.
Exotic Prey
Warlock Industries made this awesome cinematic video of a player killing a rare Blood Raider titan spawn. Some really good use of the EVE client’s 3D mouse support and some slick editing leading up to the satisfying explosion at the end.
EVE Amsterdam
Tickets for the next iteration of EVE Amstersdam have just gone on sale! It’s taking place 14 – 16 November and will include presentations, a LAN party, karaoke and EVE quiz and more. CCP will be in attendance as well so grab a ticket and come along!
